Final arrival times, warm-up times, heat sheets, volunteer assignments, and any additional reminders will be shared through SwimTopia and team emails as the meet gets closer.

Swimmer Staging and Parent Seating

During the championship meet, swimmers will need to stay down in the staging area on the pool deck with the team.

Because swimmers will be on the pool deck and parents will be in the stands, please make sure swimmers have everything they need before they report to the team area.

Parents and family members should remain seated in the stands unless they are volunteering as a Timer, Deck Ready, or Wrangler.

This helps keep the pool deck organized and allows Swimmers, Coaches, Volunteers, and Officials to move safely and efficiently throughout the meet.

Parking

Parking is available in the large parking lot north of the outdoor pool.

Families may also use the smaller parking lot located across the street from the pool on the east side.

Please allow extra time for parking, walking in, finding seats, and getting swimmers checked in with the team.

Seating and Shade

The championship meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM, with warm-ups taking place earlier.

When choosing your seat:

  • Sit on the east side if you prefer shade.
  • Sit on the west side if you prefer to sit in the sun.

Families may want to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, fans, and anything needed to stay comfortable during a longer outdoor meet.

What to Bring

Championship Meet days are often longer than regular meets, so planning ahead is helpful.

Swimmers should bring their regular meet-day items, including:

  • Black team suit
  • Extra practice suit, just in case
  • Dolphins team shirt, labeled with swimmer’s name
  • Swim cap (Dolphins caps will be provided and must be worn)
  • Goggles and backup goggles
  • Towels
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Sharpie marker
  • Printed or digital heat sheet
  • Snacks (these will stay with the swimmer)

Families may also want to stadium chairs, snacks, drinks (to stay with the families), and sunscreen.

For the full meet-day packing list, please visit the Meet Day Information page.

Heat Sheets

Heat sheets will be shared as soon as possible once entries are finalized.

Families should review the heat sheet before arriving and mark swimmers before the meet begins when possible.

Please remember that changes can happen before or during the meet. Coaches and team volunteers will help swimmers and families if changes are made.

For help reading heat sheets or marking swimmers, please visit the Swim Meet 101 for New Families page.

Parent Volunteers

Championship meets require many volunteers to run successfully.

Families who sign up for volunteer positions should check in when they arrive and listen for instructions from meet leadership.

Volunteers may include Timers, Deck Ready helpers, Wranglers, and other meet support roles.

Thank you for helping make the championship meet a positive experience for all swimmers.

Awards and Recognition

Championship ribbons and awards are based on final meet results.

Award information will be shared after results are finalized. Coaches will recognize and celebrate swimmer progress at the end of season event.

Regardless of results, we are proud of every swimmer who represents the Braun Oaks Dolphins throughout the season.
